Product features

Articles Management

cruisePAL’s Inventory module allows users to effectively manage their articles. Users can create and categorize groups of articles for convenience including different units of measure, as well as flexible ones.

Every article’s profile has numerous fields for adding key information. Users can specify custom declaration group per region and when a ship arrives at the port, the system will provide all the necessary breakdowns for customs officials. Allergens, sustainability factors and nutrients can also be listed. Additionally, for every article you can check stock issues, stock on hand, stock takes, order requests, and many more.

Suppliers Management

The Inventory modules allows users to add suppliers to the system and categorize them. The solution stores key information about suppliers (ex., preferred language, minimum order value, payment terms, delivery terms, purchase discounts, contacts, documents, etc.). Cruise lines can define master terms and conditions, mark which ones are valid for a selected supplier, and they will be included into purchase orders.

Purchasing Process Support

It enables ship to notify their colleagues on the shore side about what a ship needs, as we offer the Order Request function. For simplicity, users can create ordering templates depending on product type and/or region and then select them during order request creation. What is more, the system will suggest how much to order based on past consumption, cruise and PAX information. The conversion of order requests into purchase orders is possible. The Inventory module will check the ship location, delivery date and select the best supplier and the best price. The system can split the order request into actual purchase orders. It also covers the approval process and once it is done, purchase orders can be sent to suppliers directly from cruisePAL or can be exported as Excel files and shared in such format. Delivery documents can be stored in the system and invoices and credit notes can be registered.

Recipe Engineering

cruisePAL’s Inventory module allows for efficient Recipe engineering. Users can create recipe types to organize them based on dish types (e.g. appetizers, main courses, desserts) or dietary preferences (e.g. vegetarian, vegan). They can add general information, cooking steps for every recipe, specify ingredients and the system will automatically calculate the total cost price of the recipe. Specifying nutrients, allergens, sustainability factors, PLU, uploading images and documents, enabling recipe for one or more ships, adding notes is also possible.
